 Itinerary
Day.01Arrive Chengdu. You will be escorted to the hotel. (If time is not limitation, the sightseeing at Du Fu Thatched Cottage & the Temple of Marquis Wu in Chengdu is available for a half day tour ,besides these two major historic site in Chengdu, the Panda protecting zoo which is18km situated in the east of Chengdu is also a good choice for Sichuan typical sightseeing)
 
 Day.02Fly to Lhasa airport by SZ4401/SZ4402. Dep.06:48/07:10, then the guide will pick you up direct to Tsedang, the motherland and original of Tibetan culture. Visit the first palace in Tibet, Yombulakang, the first farmland and Changzu Temple (also called the Pearl Monastery). Overnight in Tsedang Hotel.
 
 

Day.03

Visiting Samye, the first monastery in Tibet after taking the wooden skiff powered by a tractor enjine crossing Yaluzhangbu River. Here you can enjoy the historical site of Tibetan Buddhism and study the difference on architecture between Tibetan, Chinese and Indian Monastery. Overnight in Tsedang Hotel also.

 
 Day.04Drive 386km with almost sparry road condition via Yomdrok Lake to Gyantse, a well-known Tibetan cultural town in south west of Tibet. On the way to Gyantse, you will cross two big passes, Gangbula and Karula, and the most wonderful scenic spot is the holy lake, Yomdrok Lake, with the covering of 880squre kilometers. An instant food always be arranged for lunch. You can arrive Gyantse around 16:00, check in Gyantse Hotel.
 
 Day.05Gyantse is well known by the Kumbu Monastery and the Ruins of Zhongshan, Gyantse is also called Hero Town for defense the British invading in 1904. The murals in Kumbu Monastery is regarded as the world artist treasure. On visiting Zhongshan Ruins you can find the feature view of the old county in Tibet. After launch in Gyantse, another 2hours driving at the distance of 95km to Shigatse, Check in Shigatse Hotel, a three star hotel in the local city.
 
 Day.06Shigatse is the second largest city in Tibet, it's well known by the typical west Tibetan custom and culture. The monastery, Tashilunpo is the residence of Banchan of all ages and one of major monasteries of the yellow sect with the world's largest bronze statute built in 1904, Qianba Buddha. The program in Shigatse covers Tashilunpo Monastery, the New Palace of Banchan Lama and the local free Market with rich of Tibetan handmade crafts. Overnight in Shigatse Hotel
 
 Day.07Drive 5hours along Yaluzhangbu River at the distance of 286km back to Lhasa. The road is paved way and you can enjoy the nature landscape of Yaluzhanbu River.
 
 Day.08Sightseeing in Lhasa at Potala Palace in the morning and tour at Jorkhang Temple, Barkhore Street in the afternoon. Dinner is Tibetan food with Tibetan folk singing and dancing.
 
 Day.09Visit another two yellow sect monasteries, Trepung &Sera Monastery, then a sightseeing at Norbulingka, the Summer Palace of Banchan Lam.
 
 Day.10Exit from Lhasa

Clothing and accessories equipment provided:
This route covers Gyantse, Shigatse, Tsedang, the tourism service supply condition is good in these three regions. Tourist needn't provide heavy equipment for this tour.The highest elevation is 4300m when you go through the two big passes when go from Lhasa to Gyantse.
One jacket: Fiber-jacket with cap is ideal for evening and going through the passes.
One thin sweater and one thick sweater: One thin sweater is versatile in Tibet, but when you go across the passes and the river, the thin sweater can keep you warm.
Cap, scarf, sunglasses, binoculars, water bottle.
Sun creams and lip balm: Sun block with a 15SPF rating or higher is recommended.
Small gifts: you will regret not to bring some small gift from your home for the Tibetan children and women you meet on the road.
Money pouch or belt: safer than a wallet for keeping your passport, meny and valuable papers.
Snack foods: Nuts, chocolatebars, granolabars, dried fruit,hard candies, beef jerky, and flavored drinks mixes are much-appreciated trail treats.
