Xiamen hotels and transport operators is a more comfortable and convenient. In the tourist high season, such as the National Day, people are not very large. Can compare a leisurely walk around.
Xiamen is a small city, play in general can be more than 20 blocks across the city. Amenities good, relatively clean.
Gulangyu has greatly diminished. Seawater already quite dirty, looks similar with the Huangpu River in Shanghai. Commercial facilities on the island too, very crowded environment is very dirty.
Xiamen, seafood is very good, relatively fresh and not expensive at all. There are several good restaurants, such as Shu You, peony and so on.
Xiamen University, my wife less, quiet, scenic unique, worth a visit.
