火车站对面就是太原很出名的迎泽大街，那里有很多酒店旅馆，我们在附近看了几间，最后就在松贺宾馆住下（三人间100元）。当晚太原市为庆祝建城2500年正在搞庆祝活动，而且有盛大的烟花汇演，不过天公不作美，下起毛毛细雨。我们唯有呆在宾馆，等雨停后，我们出去坐104路电车（火车站对面马路就是总站），在五一路下车，那里有条小巷，叫桥头街，网上的朋友极力推荐的“清和元食府”和“认一力羊饺店”就在那里，我们去的时候已经八点有多，早已打烊关门。那条路黑乎乎的，隔很远才有一盏路灯。说真的，这两间店也太不起眼了，那间“认一力”不过是一间很普通的快餐店，也不明白他们为什么那么出名。走过桥头街，就是太原市最繁华的商业街——柳巷。路的两旁确实种了很多柳树，可能因此而得名。那里商铺林立，百货、服饰、餐饮一应俱全，特别是和柳巷紧挨着的开化寺大街更是繁华。在“贵都百货”对面有一家“天津狗不理”饭店，就设在二楼，于是我们上去试试。那里的包子味道确实不错，价钱实惠，不过服务态度就是不行。吃完后我们又在街上逛了一会，直到路上的行人已经稀稀落落，我们才打车回去宾馆。
第二天一早，我们在迎泽大街候车去晋祠，去晋祠可坐804路车，票价2元/人，始发早上6：30，车程大约1小时左右。在晋祠公园下车后，我建议要是人多最好请一个导游，那里的导游很多，挂牌的正规导游费用只需20元。因为导游讲解的范围是包括晋祠公园和晋祠的，千万不要吝惜那些钱。穿过晋祠公园就是晋祠，只需十分钟左右。晋祠（门票40元）地方很大，参天古木多的是，主要品种是榆树和柏树。那里有三绝：周柏、难老泉、侍女像，其中周柏可能是晋祠最古老的“活化石”，三棵树紧连在一起，形态奇特，分别距今已经有两千、三千、四千年的历史，其中一棵树的树身上长有一个“龙眼”，摸一下会带来福气；而难老泉是一个冷温泉，常年保持17摄氏度，在寒冷的天气会看见水冒白烟的景象。晋祠最出名的还有：牌匾（其中有三块是最出名的）、四个铜人和鱼沼飞梁（世界上最早出现的立交桥）。那里的导游说国语挺标准的，说话吐字清晰流利，明白易懂，敬业精神还是可以的。因为晋祠的传说典故真的很多，没有导游的讲解真是一个损失，整个游程大约2小时。从晋祠公园出来，那里有很多面的去天龙山石窟，一般40元可以包来回。由于我们下午要赶火车，所以取消了，回去市区先找点吃的吧。回来也是坐804路在迎泽公园下车（公园很热闹，当时正在搞面食节），过去对面马路就是柳巷南路，从柳巷再拐过去开化寺大街，在御花园时代广场的对面就是双来饭庄，不过已经满座要等位，来吃饭时一定要电话预订（联系电话：0351－4032198）。往前不远处有一家江南酒家，门面和双来饭庄差不多，看上去挺高档的，于是就进去试试。里面人挺多，碰巧看见有人结帐才有座位，环境不错，菜式的选择也很多，各地方菜系都有，出品的味道卖相也相当不错，价钱方面虽然是有点贵，但还可以接受。其实整条开化寺街的酒楼食府多的是，而且还有一条很出名的美食街就在附近（我咨询过就在华宇购物中心的那条路进去）。吃完后在街上闲逛了一会，随后马上在迎泽大街打了辆车过去双塔寺。双塔寺离火车站很近，不过必经的朝阳街车辆堵塞的情况很严重（返回时也一样），建议去的朋友要把时间预留充裕一点。双塔寺又叫永祚寺（门票20元），建于明万历年间，主要看点就是双塔，双塔各十三层，八角形，全部用砖砌成，现在只开放其中一座让游客免费登塔。出了寺，前面不远就有公交站，我们坐820路回火车站。
19：42分，我们乘坐1331次列车返回广州，结束旅程。
旅游提点和补充：1 太原的美食在柳巷和开化寺大街挺集中的，选择性多。
2 无论是太原或是大同，整个城市都是很难看见行人天桥的，汽车违章
现象极其普遍，所以过马路一定要注意安全。
3 山西的红枣很出名，要是太原作为终点站，走之前可以到超市买一些
